Whether it's helping at a special event, picking up and sorting donations, working at the front desk or providing financial counseling, our volunteers are the reason why service members know they can count on STEP.

How You Can Help
WAREHOUSE WARRIORS
Come join us in our warehouse! We will be sorting, inventorying and preparing donations for our military families. There are volunteer opportunities each week and we need your support to help us meet our mission. Sign up for our Volunteer Newsletter to get the most up to date information.
FRONT DESK VOLUNTEERS
Do you enjoy meeting new people and making people feel welcome? The Front Desk Volunteer will answer the telephone, greet clients, and answering general questions clients or partners may have. We also gladly receive in-kind donations to assist military veterans and their families in need of any emergency subsidies. As a result, we will need assistance with organizing in-kind donations.

DRIVERS FOR DONATION PICKUP
We are looking for individuals interested in driving for our box truck and cargo van on an add needed basis. These drivers will pick up donations and collection bins and bring them back to our office in Scripps Ranch. Typically drivers are needed M-F 10 AM - 3PM on an add needed basis.

GROUP VOLUNTEERING

EVENTS VOLUNTEER
STEP has a jam packed Events Calender! Whether its face painting at our Annual Military Family Carnival or handing out diapers at one of our Warehouse on Wheels (WOW) events, your support is always needed. Once you have registered as a volunteer, we will add you to our monthly distribution of upcoming events and volunteer opportunities. Typically these are on the weekends.
SOCIAL WORKER
Are you a certified social worker looking for volunteer experience? Consider joining our dedicated team that works one-on-one with our clients to support them in their journey to financial self-sufficiency. At STEP, we believe that change has to come within. Utilizing behavior changing strategy, we are able to build brighter futures for our service members throughout Southern California and Washington State.
