Building Capacity
Applications for our services have surged, and the cost of living has risen. We are handling our highest-ever case load. The time to build capacity is now.
In October of 2022, STEP quietly launched a $6.5M strategic campaign to dramatically increase our organization’s capacity to serve junior enlisted military members in financial crisis, and their families.

The Capacity Building Campaign Will Provide:
Expansion of Team STEP to serve an additional 600 clients annually
Increased Emergency Financial Assistance funds
Ownership of STEP’s new, larger San Diego headquarters
Renovations & equipment for a more efficient warehouse
