Tony became STEP’s full-time CEO in 2014 after serving as a board member and volunteer since its founding. A Navy veteran and son of a career Air Force father, he brings firsthand understanding of the challenges military families face. Under his leadership, STEP grew from a regional effort in Southern California to a national organization serving military and veteran families across the U.S.Before STEP, Tony led strategy and process improvement at Booz Allen Hamilton, ran small businesses, and held leadership roles at Sony Electronics and within the Navy’s Submarine Nuclear Power Program.

He’s a frequent speaker on military policy and serves on several veteran advocacy councils. His work has earned numerous awards, including Nonprofit Executive of the Year and the Spirit of Hope Award from the Secretary of Defense.Tony holds degrees in business, nuclear engineering, and executive leadership. He lives in San Diego County with his wife and three children, where he raises livestock and tends orchards.
